A lot of customers are wondering why the numbers of Google Analytics do not match the numbers of AdSpirit or there are large variations in part. The reason often lies in the lack of understanding of the differences between the two methods of counting. Ultimately figures from AdSpirit can not 1: 1 compared to figures from Google Analytics or other reporting programs. Here are some reasons why may vary the numbers:
- Variations in visits / visitors / visits / visitors are often due to the fact that different measurement periods are selected. AdSpirit measures only unique visitors (visitors) and this on the basis of IPs per day.
- Differences in views / page views are often due to the fact that views and page views are erroneously compared at all. A Page View is the download of a web page, (ad) view is, however, the display of an advertisement. Are on a web page zero or more advertising media installed there will be deviations.
- The use of AdBlockern among users can ensure that Google Analytics even if it has the Page View, the advertising insertion is blocked, however, and is therefore not counted.
- Depending on which advertising media types (in particular with pop-ups, layers, wallpapers or campaigns with backfill option), it may, for various reasons to come that advertising material is blocked or displays a time delay. In these cases, the more likely that there are differences between Analytics and AdSpirit.
