In direct booking (Code Center), a specific advertising medium is directly assigned to an placement. In practice, this method is used when bookings are to be passed on to third parties (marketers/websites) who cannot work with rotating scripts from the ad server. With direct booking, a valid graphic URL and a click URL can be generated for each creative and passed on to the third party.
Practical example: You want to pass a campaign (and only this one) on to another marketer so they can generate additional clicks. This can be done in two ways:
- You create a new user, new website, and new placement for this marketer and book the placement accordingly. The marketer receives the normal script code like any regular webmaster. Disadvantage: If the campaign has multiple creatives per format, the marketer cannot directly address them.
- You create a new user, new website, and new placement for this marketer, go to the Code Center, and generate separate URLs for this campaign. The marketer then receives campaign-specific URLs for click and view counting, ad delivery, banner URL, etc. Advantage: The creative files can be passed directly to the marketer and linked directly there.
- The listing of graphic and click URLs is done without prior verification. Before passing them on, you should check whether they really lead to the corresponding graphics – for example, with popups, a graphic URL is provided, but no graphic is stored; the graphic here serves only for view tracking.
- If you pass codes from the Code Center to third parties (exception: rotation codes), no delivery verification takes place. Furthermore, targeting, frequency capping, and other optimization measures do not apply to these codes. Rather, with these codes, the respective creative is always delivered regardless of the campaign status or settings. By using these codes, you give control over delivery to the third party. They must ensure that delivery meets the booked standards (adhere to targeting, frequency capping, achieve booked volume).
Example:
1. First, open the Code Center via Administration → Booking → Code Center.
Alternatively: Open the Code Center directly in the desired campaign via Creatives → Code Center (top right).
Advantage: The campaign is already preselected, so you can start working directly.
2. Here, select the website you want. You can search using the magnifying glass or expand and scroll through the websites, then select with a click.
3. Select one or more placements for which you want to create your codes. In this example, for the spaces 160x600 and 300x250

4. On the campaign page, the campaign is preselected because you accessed the Code Center via the campaign path, or you can now search for and select the campaign.
5. Here you have various options to influence the selection and generation of codes
| - also show completed campaigns | |
| - show inactive creative | |
| - show only matching connections | |
| - Domain: | Appears if you operate your ad server with multiple domains. |
| - perform check for deactivation |
6. After clicking Next, you will receive the possible combinations for your selection. Now select the codes by checking the checkbox(es).
- Rotation code - The placement is linked with the campaign, so different creative from this campaign that match the size of the creativecan be displayed. The rotation code only shows something if the campaign is booked on the website/pacement!
- 1:1 assignment - The placement is fixedly combined with the creative
After making your selection, click Next again.
In our example, we selected:
A. Rotation code for the 160x600 space
B. Fixed wiring for the combination of placement 300x250 and creative ADT_Banner_300x250_Alle.gif, outputting view URL with banner, view URL without banner, click URL, and async script code.
7. The codes matching your selection are now displayed. You can send the codes by email or download them as a txt file. Of course, you can also simply copy the codes.
An example of what your result might look like:

Placement: 300x250
Ad medium: ADT_BAnner_300x250px_Alle.gif
