The effect of the booking of a campaign is that these will appear on the booked advertising space - without booking, the campaign will not be delivered. We have different kinds of bookings, on the one site: channel bookings and bookings for advertising space and on the other site: direct bookings. Besides there are also campaign bookings, which is to be understood as a summary of channel and advertising space bookings.
For delivering a campaign, it have to be booked to a particular channel. The channel should have websites, which involve the advertising space actively. On the basis of the booking, the AdServer assigns the advertising material from the advertising space of a channel, which campaigns are booked on that channel. Websites, which belong to no channel, can therefore be only booked directly or via advertising space.
Important: The web server assigns only the exact matching advertising material for the advertising space. That means, a banner advertising space with the format 468x60 will only be associated with banner and HTML advertising material, which also have the format 468x60. If a campaign do not have any advertising material in the appropriate format, it will be not switched to the relevant advertising space. An exception exists if alternative formats have been defined via AdServer settings either globally under Settings -> Global settings -> Publisher -> Publisher area or directly on the placement.
Advertising space, which are represented via their website in multiple channels inherit the campaigns of these channels. Campaigns which are twice will be only once assumed with the highest priorities, sequences and interests. If a campaign is booked in channel A with the priority 4 and in channel B with the priority 3, the campaign (which is provided in both channels) with the priority 4 will be listed for the one website, while these with the priority 3 will not be provided for this website.
