The built-in AdSpirit RTB volume throttling ensures that the requests sent to the bidder via Seller API equal in amount to the behavior of the bidder. To this end, the following features are used:
- Number of the bidder sent requests
- Number of received bids (no errors and price> 0)
- Number of erroneous bids (not included bids with price = 0)
- Number of bids that actually led to extradition
The AdServer these values will check every 5 minutes and adjust according to the set in the campaign and the advertising means. the value "max. queries per minute", so given the number of requests which the tenderer from AdServer per minute respectively adjusted.
Occur, for example frequent errors in the bidding, so the value of the bid requests dispatched until a minimum of 1 per minute reduced. This ensures that a bidder with server problems receives no further large volumes of requests. At the same time based on the received bids the delivered advertising materials or optimum utilization of the ads is guaranteed.
Note: Once the ad server, the values for minimum response rate, minimum delivery rate and maximum error rate will create a campaign or an RTB-promotional specified. The default values correspond to the general experience and need not be adjusted normally. If you adjust the values but we recommend to achieve a steady slight adjustment to not overload the bidder.
